Level 7 Combined Basic & Advanced Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are currently the most popular non-surgical cosmetic/aesthetics procedure. Dermal fillers are small injections of gel, typically made up of hyaluronic acid and local anaesthetic, which fill in wrinkles and add volume to soft tissue. You can have dermal fillers in different parts of your face: the chin, cheeks, mouth and jaw line amongst other areas. As well as those areas, lip fillers are administered directly into the lip tissue.

Dermal Fillers basically restores lost volume to your face and plumps areas, so that deep set lines are smoothed. Why is this needed? Well, as we get older our bodies stop producing collagen and elastin, both of which contribute to the youthful look. Experts argue over when we start losing collagen; but it is generally agreed around the age of 25.Your collagen and elastin levels then decline at a rate of about 2% per year, and your body will have stopped producing it altogether by your late twenties. Dermal Fillers have been used for decades to restore lost volume or add lift resulting in a youthful appearance. The market for dermal fillers is ever growing and it is targeted at all age groups.

We offer a combined dermal fillers course which will train our clients to work in all areas of the face not just a couple of areas, we believe by offering a combined course this will save our clients time and money, we also train in both the cannula and needle methods. Most other training providers will split the course up into either –

  1. A basic option and an advanced option separately
  2. Different areas of the face will be delivered as separate courses .i.e. Lips, Jaw line, and Rhinoplasty .etc.

This results in the clients having to pay extra money for the complete dermal fillers options and investing more time to be fully trained. By offering a combined dermal fillers option we save you time and money to administer in all areas of the face. Due to the fact that we believe in safety as priority, unlike other training providers we also offer the Dermal Filler Removal/Reversal course within our package for no extra cost, saving our clients hundreds of pounds.

The Combined Basic & Advanced Dermal Filler course will assist students in gaining a much deeper informative insight into the field of Dermal Filler injectables and will provide those with the practical skills needed to either start their own clinic or add a lucrative extra stream of income to an existing beauty salon, spa or aesthetics clinic. Some clients have also worked locum in busy aesthetics or beauty salons in their local areas.

  2. Nasal fold
  3. Marionette lines
  4. Smokers lines
  5. Cheek enhancement/definition
  6. Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)
  7. Chin reconstruction
  8. Jaw line definition
  9. * Dermal Filler Removal/Reversal

* Note: Because we believe in teaching safety first we do not consider this module as a separate course and offer it within our course package.

How the course is delivered

The course is delivered in two sections; there is a theoretical aspect and a practical aspect.

The theory work –

Upon enrolment onto the dermal fillers course we will send out a fully CPD approved theory booklet for our clients to work through. We strongly abide and believe in our motto ‘Teaching Excellence through Safety’ (Please See our abut us page)  and due to this our theory booklets differ for medics and non medics. For non medics we have extended learning material, particularly in the modules that cover safety, anatomy, injection techniques, and contra-indications .etc.

The theory booklet covers the following modules –

  • Treatment information
  • Consultation
  • Medical questionnaire
  • Consent
  • Before & Afters
  • Anatomy
  • Injection techniques
  • Safety & Hygiene
  • Contra-indications
  • Risks, side effects, complications
  • Realistic expectations
  • Legality
  • Topical anaesthetic

At the end of each module you will need to answer two to four questions on the subject matter. It will take about 9 hours of guided learning on this section for medics and 12-13 guided learning hours for non medics. The workbook answer sheet will be required to be emailed back to us for marking before the practical days.

As was mentioned previously we strongly abide by our motto ‘Teaching Excellence through Safety’ (Please see our abut us page). Our pre-course theory work booklets are more involved and extensive for non-medics in comparison to the booklets aimed at medics. For non-medics we have extended learning material, particularly in the modules that cover safety, anatomy, injection techniques, and contra-indications. etc. By offering this additional support we believe that our non-medic learners can offer quality aesthetics procedures whilst having a better understanding of the anatomy and physiology, thus ‘Teaching Excellence Through Safety’

The Practical days –

The second section of our course is the practical days.

The first day will start with a 90 minute power point presentation reviewing the theory work and allowing time for any questions and queries in regards to the theory aspect of the course and dermal fillers in general. There will also be an introduction and overview of our facilities and training centre.

The remaining time will be spent doing practical work on our models under the direction of our fully trained aesthetics experts on all areas of the face. We never ask our trainees to supply their own models, we provide all the models and we strictly abide by HEE guidelines and guarantee to provide ample models to train on. All our trainees will be provided with uniforms.

Upon completion of the course, everything needed to begin your aesthetics practice will be given. This includes –

  • Insurance details (we offer a guarantee that you get insurance),
  • Prescribers (we have a prescriber pool across the UK)
