Our Professional Asian Bridal Hair & Makeup course is fully accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapist. On completion you will be a certified Professional Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist and can apply for professional insurance and trade discounts such as MAC, NARS etc. The Guild of Beauty Therapist is the largest trade body in the UK beauty industry and our courses come with 26 CPD points. In just 4 weeks you will learn all the business acumen, theory, makeup & hair techniques required to perform as a professional Bridal Artist. On enrolment you will be sent your course materials to study online for 3 weeks, before attending the practical and assessment days on 5th – 8th October. The practical days enable you to put in action what you have studied on the online course with step by step demonstrations. You will practice how to create signature flawless modern and traditional bridal looks with Director and Celebrity Makeup Artist Anita Pillai, who ensures you learn all the skills to meet the standards of current brides. Some of the bridal looks we cover: Contemporary, Civil, Reception, Traditional, Mehendi, Punjabi, Gujerati, Arabic, Pakistani, South Indian, and Engagement looks.  5 DAY COURSE

To kick start your career in makeup & hair artistry, you need the perfect blend of training, confidence, business advice, a stunning photographic portfolio and a well established, trusted brand to market to your potential clients.

You will receive step by step practical guidance and demonstrations of each technique, and will be required to practically display what you have learnt through hands-on application. Your practical assessments will help us to give you the confidence and guidance to go pro!

DAY 1: Let’s Make-Up!:

AM – Natural Makeup / PM – Smokey Eyes
jouli will be transfer the techniques, product knowledge and application skills required to build each of these looks, step by step.
You will be provided with a training manual which will help you to take away what you have learnt for future reference, and you can also bring a digital camera to capture visual reminders which will compliment your notes.

As jouli covers each look, you are welcome to ask questions and to request a re-run of any part of the look.
Upon completion of each look, you will return to your work station, where you will have all of the same products, tools and equipment that jouli  has just used to create the look.
Then it’s your turn!
We will be assessing your skills and techniques, and we will ensure that you will reach a very high standard in application and finish before moving onto the next look.
You will receive one-to-one attention from jouli and the core team throughout the duration of the course.

DAY 2: Beauty Looks:

AM – Colour Expert / PM – Glam & Glitter
Using vibrant eye colours, warm tones and learning to master the jouli signature dewy base.
Day 2 is designed to build on the knowledge and techniques from Day 1, step by step to bring you up to a high standard of application and product knowledge.

DAY 3: Bridal Service:

AM – Traditional Bride / PM – Modern Bride
Bridal Makeup is what jouli is best known for, so we’ve dedicated a whole day to her most sought after looks.
The format is similar to Days 1 and 2, but it’s all about the Bridal Service!

DAY 4: Hair We Come:

This day is dedicated to hair styling.
On this day, you will be trained on at least 5 classic hair looks, working with manikin heads with real hair and we will teach you the technical skills of applying hair extensions to create up do, down and a variety of hair styles. These hair styles are practical for application for a variety of occasions; bridal, fashion, party and catwalk.

DAY 5: Portfolio Session – your cover shoot:

We’ll provide you with one model on whom you can create 2 looks, using any and all of the makeup and hair products, wardrobe of outfits, accessories and jewellery that we provide you with. We have a professional stylist who brings along the latest fashion, and will help you to dress your model according to the look you want to create.

jouli professional photographer will then take a variety of shots of your model for each look that you create, and will co-direct the shoot with you. You will be provided with a CD with all of the images shot to take home at the end of the day.

You can of course upgrade this part of the package with more models and more looks, as a vast majority of our graduates have whilst training with us. This will of course be provided to you for an additional fee, but it’s entirely up to you to decide if you want to upgrade or not.
